Day 1 : Havana.
At the
end of the afternoon, transfer in a vintage classic car to the fortress of San
Carlos and to attend the “cañonazo” (cannon shooting) ceremony.
Day 2 : Havana.
Welcome
to Cuba. Transfer to the hotel. Panoramic tour of the city including a boat
ride across the bay to Regla. Transfer to the “Callejón del Chorro” area for a
stroll and to lunch. Free time in the afternoon.
Day 3 : Havana- Guama-
Caleta Buena Girón- Cienfuegos.
We
will leave for the south enjoying the tropical landscapes. We´ll visit the crocodile
farm in Guama where we´ll take a boat through the national park. We will stop
in Taina. In Caleta Buena, you can swim in the Caribbean. Lunch included. We
will visit the Museum of “Playa Giron”. We continue to Cienfuegos, the Pearl of
the South. Dinner included.
Day 4 : Cienfuegos-
Trinidad.
Today
we will visit Trinidad, the most beautiful and best-preserved colonial city in
Cuba. Afterwards, we´ll visit a temple of Santería Yemayá where a witch doctor
will tell us about this religion. Lunch included and arrival at our resort
hotel in Playa Ancón. Night transfer to the cathedral district. Dinner
included.
Day 5 : Trinidad- Valle
de los Ingenios Guachinango- Sancti Spíritus- Camagüey.-
Manaca
Iznaga, center of the sugar zone. We will take the historic train through the
hacienda stopping in Fenota to Guachinango. Lunch included. We will continue to
Sancti Spiritus, a small colonial city and continue to Camagüey, the city of
art
Day 6 : Camagüey-
Guáimaro- Bayamo Santiago de Cuba.-
Panoramic
visit including a visit to the headquarters of the Camagüey Ballet where we
will learn about the origin of the company and its current work. Lunch
included. We will stop in Guáimaro. We will visit a chess school in Bayamo.
Arrival in Santiago de Cuba and night transfer to the “Casa de la Trova”.
Day 7: Santiago de
Cuba.-
Panoramic
tour of Santiago. Afterwards, we'll head to the Basilica of Nuestra Señora de
la Caridad del Cobre, patron saint of Cuba, and the Santa Ifigenia cemetery.
We'll visit the Bacardi Rum Factory and go to the Morro Castle, a World
Heritage Site. Lunch included. Free time in the afternoon in Santiago.
Day 8 : Santiago de
Cuba.-
After
breakfast, the end of our services.
